News Video: Study Released on the 83 Autism Cases in the Federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program

Posted on: 05-18-2011 Posted in: Vaccine Law

In 2008, Johns Hopkins Neurologist went public with the fact that his daughter, who regressed into autism following her 18 month vaccines, was paid for her injuries from the Federal Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. At the time, CDC Chief Julie Gerberding claimed that the girls case was “rare.” But now a study into the cases in the VICP by the Elizabeth Birt Center for Autism Law and Advocacy found 82 more autism cases among the 150 families paid by the government that they were able to find.

EBCALA is now asking for hearings into the VICP to see how many cases of autism are in the program in general, and what the government knows about vaccine/autism causation.
