Supported Living Services for Your Adult Child in California
As your child with autism reaches the age of majority (age 18), thinking about how he can become more independent in your community is important. Between ages 18 and 22, your child will begin to age out of special education and will require services from other agencies. If your child is a client of California’s Regional Center system, you should begin to think about how to transition your child to greater independence using Supported Living Services (SLS).

TRICARE Backpedals on Proposed ABA Therapy Policy Change
This afternoon, TRICARE released a statement via email which reversed information found on their website dated June 25, 2013 regarding new ABA policy changes. The first sentence of TRICARE’s statement acknowledged their website information did appear to pertain to all TRICARE beneficiaries.
Military families fear cuts to autism treatment
TRICARE’s proposed referral and authorization process for military dependents seeking ABA therapy will take affect on July 25th. EBCALA is trying to publicize the change because TRICARE did not individually notify the more than 23,000 military families affected by autism.
